Beyond the Border is a metaphor for crossing over into the unknown. The point in your life where it's in a state of flux because you can either climb a mountain-a feat in itself, cross the river, perhaps a path of least resistance as long as you don't get get caught in the current, or you can follow a combination of all those routes as you cross over to what you are searching for. A combination of illustration, painting and both real and implied texture are highlighted in this composition in acrylics, pen and ink.
