Spring Show is Almost Here!

Special Preview!!

If you had told me about 8 or 9 years ago that I’d be trading in my ‘show’ tent for a camera, computer, and comfy chair, I’d probably be staring at you with wide eyes and a ‘what the what’ look at my face.

I still do shows in person from time to time, but with the advances in technology and the ease of reaching an almost unlimited amount of people, online shows have changed the landscape of selling artwork for artists in such mammoth ways.

I’ve worked with an online market for the last 6 or 7 years which has made a huge difference in my career. It’s been a fun way to connect with collectors worldwide and amazing artists I’ve been grouped with! I appreciate all the support that so many have shown me since I started with Auctions with Stephanie Gagos.

I hope those of you who have found a treasure or two of mine during one of our semi-annual events agree that they are fun and full of positive energy.

For those of you who are new here, welcome!!

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my artwork. Today I am featuring the majority of what I will be showcasing during the Spring Show which will be online, on Saturday, May 18th. My selections along with another artist I will be paired with for the day (Susan Card…her work is amazing!!), will open up for ‘adoption’ at 3 PM EST.

If you’d like to jump to joining the group so you can see what other artists are showcasing before my featured day arrives, you can do so by going HERE.

Down below I have a graphic that explains how to view our items and either comment on your favorites or place bids on the items that are calling out to you:

Whether or not you can make a purchase, just stopping by the show group, commenting, sharing the group, or otherwise spreading the word helps us to stay encouraged and spread the word about the event to a wider audience.

My spring collection will be comprised of several vibrant abstracts, a few funky floral pieces, a crew of whimsical characters plus more surprises that will be added in the next few days!

Take a look and let me know if you have a favorite!

Many of you favor my abstracts but for many years, my work was all about whimsical and fancy-free people, places, and things. From houses to critters, humorous characters, or contemplative and soothing angels, I have pretty much done it all. I try to include a few pieces from these series for every show.

Can you guess what color I’ve been really grooving on lately????

PINK—I mean I’m really not a pink or purple girl but I sure do love working with it. I think in more ways that many of us imagine, this vibrant hue (which is more magenta or fuschia), exudes power and positivity and not just overly girly girl vibes.

The pieces above and below were born from samples I created in my workshop held in Santa Fe this April. Can you tell how the influences of my surroundings infiltrated the compositions?

I also have a lot of not really landscapes but gorgeous color fields with dynamic areas of movement and interesting imagery manifesting throughout many of my pieces.

There’s always more than meets the eye. That’s a major theme in my work and sometimes you can see that in the title and or the composition.

The abstracts above and below are just such refuges to me. I could get lost in them for hours and hope they find their forever person who feels the same way. And the color palette….can we enjoy that for a few moments too!

Many of my works of art contain a lot of texture as I love the effects you can achieve with a perfectly imperfect surface. The paint pools, the surface is raised in areas and the outcome is always a mystery. What’s below the surface is as important as what is readily seen.

There you have it! A private tour through several of my pieces which I’ve been working on over the last few months! Once again, the show starts on May 13th, 2024, with new artists each day beginning around 3 PM EST.

My featured day is May 18th and I couldn’t be more excited! Consider this your invitation. Who’s bringing the wine???

If you made it this far, I appreciate you and want to offer you a treat!
